The Full Brabus Coversion

The Brabus AMG GTS design impresses with lowered sports suspension, aerodynamic-enhancement bodywork components and the ultra-light and aggressive-looking Monoblock F forged wheels.

Alongside these visual aids, the sports exhaust system made from especially lightweight titanium creates a far superior noise, making the eight-cylinder sound significantly sportier when the valves are open. And to finish, the performance kit for the twin-turbo engine gives the AMG GTS a 66 kW / 90 HP (or 88 bhp) power boost, meaning the two-seater will now reach a top speed of 325 km/h (201 mph).

The whole package makes for a truly sensational driving experience, whilst also giving you a really unique look and sound on the road.

Bodywork

The GTS gets the works- new front lip, sports fenders, side air intakes, side skirts, rear spoiler and rear diffusor. All bodywork components come with a clear-coated carbon finish or in a matte coating, giving the car a more thrilling design, while optimizing the aerodynamics. All bodywork components were developed in the wind tunnel and are made from a lightweight, yet extremely strong carbon, the same material used in Formula 1 racing.

The front spoiler (as pictured above) looks great, but also reduces lift on the front axle at high speeds, resulting in even more stable handling. The covers for the two air intakes on the front bumper (also shown above) lend the two-seater an even more striking face, while optimising the routing of cooling air.

The rear spoiler and carbon diffusor give the rear a more ‘athletic’ look, whilst also contributing to optimised handling stability at high speeds. The rear diffusor is custom fitted with four tailor-made cutouts for the four tailpipes of the Brabus sports exhaust and so, can only be sold in combination.

The profile of the car is also sharpened by the air outlets for the front fenders which gives it a racing touch, whereas the lowered suspension and carbon fibre side skirts give the car an even lower and sleeker visual stance. They also optimize the airflow between the front and rear wheel arches.

Wheels

brabusamggtswheels

The Brabus Monoblock F Platinum Edition cross-spoke wheels were custom-developed for the GTS and play an essential role in the thrilling look the car now has. Using state-of-the-art forging technology, Brabus have built some extremely light, yet especially robust wheel options that come in three finishes; ceramic polished (as pictured), brushed and ‘Titan Gunmetal’.

The staggered tire/wheel combination has 20 inch diameters on the front axle and 21 inches at the rear and further adds emphasis to the wedge shape of the two-seater. Technology partners Continental, Pirelli and YOKOHAMA supply the extremely wide high-performance tires of sizes 275/30 ZR 20 and 305/25 ZR 21.

The Brabus sports springs are tailored specifically to these low profile tires, lowering the ride height of the GTS by about 15 millimetres with a multitude of selectable settings for damping and ride height.

Engine

brabusamggtsengine

The Brabus engine specialists have developed the PowerXtra B40 600 performance kit for the eight-cylinder twin-turbo engine of the GTS. This plug-and-play control module is adapted to the engine electronics and features new mapping for injection and ignition, while also moderately increasing the boost pressure. After the installation, the engine puts out an extra 66 kW / 90 HP (88 bhp) and produces 100 Nm (74 lb-ft) of added torque. Of course, the tuned version complies with the same strict emissions standards as the production car.

After the upgrade, the GTS has a rated power output of 441 kW / 600 HP (591 bhp) at 6,400 rpm and a peak torque of 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) at 4,800 rpm. It sprints from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in an impressive 3.6 seconds and the top speed jumps from 310 to 325 km/h (190 to 201 mph).

Like all other BRABUS components, the performance kit for the GTS is backed by the exemplary Brabus Tuning Warranty® of three years, up to 100,000 kilometers/62,000 miles.

Sports Exhaust

The ideal complement to the engine tuning, or just an attractive upgrade for all standard GTS models, is the Brabus quad sports exhaust with electronically controlled sound management. This component is made from extremely lightweight titanium, with four tailpipes made from a combination of titanium and carbon, weighing approximately 40% less than the production exhaust.

This sports exhaust system optimises the power delivery of the V8 engine and as a special feature, is fitted with electronically controlled butterfly valves. These are operated from the cockpit, allowing the driver to select a quiet and loud mode, depending on what the circumstances allow.

Interior

On the inside, the car feels as good as it looks on the outside. Specially designed accessories like carbon scuff plates with stainless-steel inserts and a backlit Brabus logo, and matte anodized or chrome-plated aluminium pedals have been included. Special Brabus aluminium paddle shifters have also been added in an even more ergonomic position on the steering wheel so you can make even more precise gear changes.

The interior craftsmanship is exemplary and can be tailored to the customer’s needs, with a number of different materials, inlays and upholsteries. The perfect way to finish off a quite magnificent car conversion.
