And a final, subtle clue that distinguished the V8 from the W12 version was the twin exhaust pipes joined in a figure-of-eight shape. Bentley's head of exterior design, J P Gregory, told Autocar that "the [Continental GTC] is about grand touring. With the roof down this is the Bentley experience ramped up to 11."
