Novitec, the world’s foremost producer of upgrades for Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini, have today launched their program for the new Maserati Ghibli. Novitec have described the options available as ‘enhancements‘, with the emphasis being on refining and individualising the Ghibli, as opposed to revolutionsing its design. The program is a comprehensive one, with options available to upgrade the engine, suspension, wheels and aerodynamics.

Engine

Novitec have introduced a range of N-Tronic engine tuning upgrades which are processer-controlled devices connected to the orginal engine management system. Designed to be a ‘Plug and Play‘ option, it is a simple install to gain impressive power increases.

The following table is a comparison between standard horse power and 0-100km/h times, and the figures achieved when a Novitec N-Tronic is fitted.

Suspension

Novitec offer height-adjustable stainless-steel coilover suspension sets, which are available for all Ghibli models with rear-wheel drive. It offers variable ride height and shock absorbers whose rebound and compression can be adjusted to the driver’s individual preferences.

In addtion, the ride height of the all-wheel-drive Ghibli S Q4 model can be lowered by about 35 millimeters with Novitec sports springs.

Wheels

Novitec have released the NM1 wheels for the Ghibli. They are 22-inch alloys designed to make the Ghibli look more aggressive and add some profile. The one-piece wheels are five double spokes in design and are available in silver, matt-black, titanium and polished titanium finished. They can be supplied with the Novitec chosen Pirelli P-Zero tyres – 255/30 ZR22 at the front axle and 315/25 ZR22 tires at the rear.

Aerodynamics

When it comes to aerodynamics Novitec have chosen three parts to offer to Ghibli owners, with the intention of futher enhancing the Ghibli’s sporty character. All the parts are real 100% carbon fibre, made in an autoclave and not the often found wet-laid carbon fibre on a fibreglass core.

Novitec offer the front spoliler lip, which is fitted to the original front bumper and provides the Ghibli with an more distinctive front end. Not just being an aesthetic upgrade, the front spoiler reduces negative lift on the front axle at high speeds. The carbon fibre side panels give the sedan a longer and sleeker look and the rear spoiler compliments the styling at the rear of the Ghibli, as well as reducing negative aerodynamic lift.

The aerodynamic kit is available as a complete kit, or as individual pieces.
