Share on:

Novitec have just released a new, limited-edition widebody version of the Rolls-Royce Wraith called the ‘Overdose’. The Wraith Overdose sees the car totally revamped with a new carbon fibre widebody kit, a newly tuned engine now putting out 527 kW / 717 HP, a set of 22” SP1 wheels, lowered suspension, a stainless-steel sports exhaust (with electronic sound management) and carbon ceramic brakes.

There will only be eight of these full car conversions sold worldwide by Novitec SPOFEC and exclusive distributor, Scuderia Car Parts is the only place in the UK where you can place an order! So if you’re looking for an extravagantly designed, powerful, and highly exclusive Rolls, then please get in touch with us HERE.

Carbon Fibre Widebody Kit

The high-quality, lightweight carbon fibre widebody kit includes replacement panels for the front bumper, rear bumper, front-fenders, rear-side parts, rear spoiler lip and side panels.

The significantly wider front and rear fenders are immediately apparent as they extend the width of the Wraith by 7cms on the front and 13cms on the rear axle (that’s 208cms total). To this end, the designers sculpted arched flares for the rear sidewalls and fitted them seamlessly to the production bodywork.

The new rear bumper also harmonizes perfectly with the flares and thus gives the Wraith an extremely sporty appearance from the rear. In addition, the new bumper provides the perfect backdrop for integrating the two tailpipes of the SPOFEC sport exhaust system into the thrilling overall appearance. The naked carbon spoiler lip on the trunk puts the finishing touch on the aerodynamic efficiency of the rear of the car.

To the front of the car, the ‘Overdose’ front bumper is designed to replace its production counterpart and perfectly matches the shape of the wider front fenders. It also lends the Wraith a more athletic expression, while reducing lift on the front axle at high speeds.

Newly developed side panels create a perfect transition between the front and rear fenders and thanks to their sophisticated design, they also emphasize the wasp waist (it’s a women’s fashion term) of the two-door car. In addition, an air scoop on either side provides the rear brakes with cooling air and they give the British luxury coupe an even lower and longer visual stance.

Wheels & Brakes

The wider fenders create space for SPOFEC SP1 alloys in sizes 9Jx22 on the front (fitted with size 265/35 ZR 22 tyres) and size 10.5Jx22 on the rear (mounted with size 295/30 ZR 22 high-performance tyres). These SP1 wheels feature ten offset pairs of double spokes and can be ordered in any desired colour.

On top of this, the all new, high-performance, carbon-ceramic brakes improve on active safety as they deliver more stopping power and higher fade resistance than the production brakes. These vented discs (405x30mm at the front and 395x38mm on the rear) also represent a weight saving of 38kgs compared to the production system. The reduced unsprung mass also further optimizes the car’s handling.

Engine

The SPOFEC performance upgrade for the 6.6L twin-turbo 12-cylinder engine of the Rolls-Royce Wraith sees a processor-controlled plug-and-play N-TRONIC module integrated into the electronics that provides the engine with new mapping for injection and ignition, whilst increasing the boost pressure of the twin-turbo engine. After its installation, the engine produces an additional 62.5 kW / 85 HP of peak power and puts an extra 186 Nm of peak torque at the driver’s disposal.

A new power output of 527 kW / 717 HP and a peak torque of 986 Nm accelerates the refined luxury coupe from 0-100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds. The top speed remains electronically limited to 250 km/h to protect the tyres, but on the road, the V12 is optimized across the entire rev range and so ensures an even more superior driving experience without compromising its exemplary eco-friendliness.

Sports Exhaust

The upgraded stainless-steel exhaust optimizes the engine’s power delivery as well as producing a considerably sportier exhaust note from the turbocharged V12, whilst weighing 5kgs less than the production system. Novitec also offer a variant with actively controlled butterfly valves that allows for electronic sound management- drivers can switch the engine sound between markedly subtle, and powerfully sporty from the cockpit by remote control.

Suspension

To lend the Overdose even more dynamic handling, Novitec have developed a special control module for the standard pneumatic suspension. It lowers the ride height of the coupe by about 40mms compared with the production car at speeds of up to 140 km/h. At higher speeds, the body automatically reverts to the original level.

Of course, SPOFEC makes every wish come true with perfect workmanship in the interior as well. There is virtually no limit to the range of colours for the high-quality types of leather and Alcantara that you can chose from in order to customise your car.
