Chris Evans ‘Dirty Dozen’ cars hit Egham

On a wet and windy Wednesday morning, Chris Evans’ ‘Dirty Dozen’ rare and vintage cars cruised through Egham, briefly stopping off at Maranello’s forecourt, just opposite the Scuderia offices. The 12 cars were auctioned off to 12 lucky couples back in November last year as part of a fundraising campaign for Children in Need, raising over £700k in the process for the charity.

The auction winners were vying for the chance to join Chris Evans on the Breakfast Show, before setting off on a once in a life time experience, driving each and every one of the cars over three days of motoring bliss.

The lucky winners also got the chance to have a BBQ Breakfast cooked by F1 racing legend, Jody Scheckter, visit Chris Evans’ Ferrari garages, enjoy dinner prepared by ‘Saturday Kitchen’ celebrity chef James Martin, plus driven around Thruxton Race Circuit by The Stig. Finally, the ‘Dirty Dozen’ started the show at ‘CarFest’ on Friday afternoon by starting The Hill Climb and now get the chance to enjoy the rest of the festival with AAA passes as Chris’ guests.

This amateur Youtube video shows the ‘Dirty Dozen’ leaving the BBC studios whilst Chris Evans conducts his morning breakfast show live on Radio 2.

The Cars

The 12 cars that make up the ‘Dirty Dozen’ consist of seven of the most beautiful Ferrari’s known to man and the Drophead Drop-Dead Gorgeous Five. The dates of the cars range from 1963 to 1989 and are all highly collectable. Unfortunately on the day that we managed to grab some snaps, Car #10 wasn’t present as it was having a puncture repaired, but we did managed to snap the other 11!
