While most high-performance cars get a glitzy, star-studded launch, Lamborghini’s successor to the Gallardo as its smaller, V10-powered model took place online. Maybe it was a way to show that such events were now less relevant in the internet age, but it hasn’t impeded the model’s progress towards a steady production figure of just over 2,500 cars a year. Replacing the Gallardo as the smallest car in the Lamborghini range, it inherited the same 5.2-litre V10 engine, with no turbo assistance, but tuned to put out 602bhp. Many drivers here in the UK will be familiar with its use in parent company Audi’s S6 and S8, but the Huracan was the first model to use it together with direct and multi-point fuel injection.

Only available with a seven-speed dual clutch auto transmission, the Huracan is the first Lamborghini to use magnetic fluid-filled dampers which constantly change the firmness of the suspension according to road conditions. It borrows the ‘virtual cockpit’ seen on high-end Audi models, which can display vehicle information, GPS data and navigation, and also incorporates controls for the multi-media system. The steering system can also be adjusted for different types of driving, with the driver choosing from normal, street or a race-style set-up. The emergence of a variety of Lamborghini Huracan aftermarket parts suppliers means owners can buy replacement parts from a variety of sources. We can help you pick the most trustworthy, because at Scuderia Car Parts, we’ve built a database where you can find them all. Founded on our own experience as supercar owners and lovers, we aim to take the guesswork out of finding Lamborghini aftermarket parts.
